In the past, I have written about my Agenda and OmniFocus workflow. Today, I’m excited to share an update to my Shortcut.

Now called the Agenda Meeting Wrap-Up, this Shortcut still does the same things:

  • parses shared Markdown from Agenda to find both actions and completed actions
  • provides the option to move those actions to an OmniFocus project for action management
  • appends a link to the OmniFocus project in the shared Agenda note
  • provides the option to email the contents of the note, with actions collected together, to meeting participants
  • the email will pre-populate with recipients based on a lookup of the Agenda note to calendar events and getting a match’s attendees (so it’s good to use the Agenda “Link to Event” feature)

This corrects defects in the previous version of the Shortcut introduced by iOS 13 and other application changes. It also stops action content from landing on the clipboard.

Enjoy! I’d love to hear what you think and if this is helpful!

  1. Hi Scotty,

Thanks for the shortcut, which I use after translations headlines to Danish, and since I am no a OF under anymore, I don’t use that part, would love a ToDoist integration.

Do you have any plans for a Agenda-> DEVONthinK shortcut, where there will in both “ends” would be URL back links. I am using Agenda for meeting Notes, but DEVONthink for overall view on projects etc.

  2. Hey Scotty,

This has been a marvelous shortcut but it seems to be hanging on me now.

When I run it, it asked if I want to add project and actions to OF, I click yes.
It then jumps back and forth between programs and displays an error “”An error occurred while running Agenda Meeting Wrap-Up.. Target not found”

The project and action items are in OF. I can’t seem to figure out where it is stopping in the shortcut. Any thoughts?

    Thanks

    • Interesting! Let me troubleshoot. I’m also working on some updated versions of Shortcuts for Agenda, so might have this covered in other streams of work.

So glad this has been useful for you and appreciate you getting in touch!
